Gaudí in one day, the way I do it with visiting friends. Sagrada Família at 9:00 (book the Nativity tower, not the other one). Walk the Eixample grid — look up, that's the whole point. Lunch at the bar inside Mercat de la Concepció. Park Güell 16:30. Casa Batlló at the sunset slot. Not on a Monday. Half of it is closed and you will be angry.

Home turf. HK in one day, no queues. Star Ferry at 8 (HK$5, best view in the city) → Tai Cheong egg tarts in Central, 9/10 → the Peak via the Morning Trail, not the tram, the tram queue is an hour → Temple Street after dark. Skip the Peak tram. Trust me.
